Our solar attic fans are manufactured in Phoenix, Arizona using US and global parts with the highest standards for quality and functionality. Our highly trained staff assemble and test each fan before carefully packaging the unit for shipping.
PERC Solar Panel
The Natural Light Solar Attic Fan features a high impact PERC solar panel. We offer 3 types of panels: adjustable, remote or fixed. The Adjustable Panel model is available in 2 sizes (32 or 48 watt) to accommodate the correct amount of ventilation needed. The unique adjustable mounting bracket allows the panel to be positioned in the angle where it will collect the most sunlight to provide optimum fan performance. A 65 watt remote panel model is also available.
The Low Profile, Fixed Panel model features a 35 watt round solar panel which is integrated into the fan housing. The panel can be easily removed for cleaning or replacement. The unit is more compact than our standard model and is also approved for hurricane zones.

Housing and Flashing
The solar attic fan housing and flashing are constructed of 1100 series, heavy-duty seamless aluminum to prevent leaking. Because it is exposed to the harsh effects of the environment on a daily basis, Natural Light powder coats the unit both inside and out for extra durability. Many of our competitors either paint only the outside or do not paint the unit at all. Also, many of our competitors use less durable materials to house their attic fans including polypropylene (plastic), sheet metal, or galvanized steel.
The flashing is one of the most important components of the attic fan and is responsible for keeping your roof from leaking. Its round shape minimizes damage to roof shingles and enables it to withstand the stresses of expansion and contraction due to temperature variations. The units are available in 3 colors: black satin, gray satin or bronze gloss.

Direct Current Motor
Natural Light Solar Attic Fans utilize a German engineered 36 volt direct current motor. The motor is precision balanced to achieve low motor vibration and low motor noise. Additionally, the motor sits in an isolation bracket to further ensure a smooth, quiet operation. Each motor undergoes an individual motor winding testing to ensure consistent motor performance. Natural Light backs up the solar attic fan motor with a limited lifetime warranty. Some of our competitors use lower-grade motors with much shorter warranties.
Aluminum Fan Blade
Natural Light Solar Attic Fans incorporate a five-wing, precision balanced blade for the highest cfm output. The fan blades are manufactured using a non-corrosive aluminum to withstand all weather conditions. Our fan features 5 fan blades making it quieter than 3 or 4 fan blades and also provides a more uniform airflow. Many of our competition offer only 3 or 4 blades and some are even made of plastic.
Animal Protective Screen
The interior of a Natural Light Solar Attic Fan is protected by a stainless steel wire screen mesh. The screen helps keep out debris, bugs, birds, and small rodents while allowing air to circulate freely. Some of our competitors use lower-grade mesh such as plastic or steel that rusts over time.
Storm Collar
Natural Light Solar Attic Fans are manufacturing with a 2” wide aluminum storm collar. The collar sits on the fan flashing just below the animal protective screen. It prevents rain or snow from blowing into the fans interior by creating a seal between the fan flashing and housing. Natural Light Solar Attic Fans have been approved for hurricane and high wind areas because of its exceptional design including the storm collar, an extremely durable solar panel and a heavy-duty housing.
