Installs on All Roof Types and Slopes

No matter what type of roof you have, we have a solar attic fan for you!

Asphalt Shingled Roofs

The most common roof type for solar attic fans. Choose from our Adjustable Models (32, 48 or 65 watt) or our Low Profile, Fixed Panel Model (35 watt).

Tile Roofs

Choose from our Tile Profile Model which is specifically designed to accommodate thicker tiles or our Roof Mount Model with an optional Turret Extension.

Metal Roofs

Metal roofs require a curb mount model. Choose from our Adjustable Models (32, 48 or 65 watt) or our Low Profile, Fixed Panel Model (35 watt).

Commercial Roofs

Curb mount fans installs over pre-built curbs on flat roofs. Choose from our Adjustable Models (32, 48 or 65 watt) or our Low Profile, Fixed Panel Model (35 watt).

Convert a Roof or Curb Mount Solar Attic Fan into a complete garage venting system with our Garage Exhaust Vent Kit.

Homes with Gables

The Gable Mount fan housing installs over the existing gable opening. It's powered by either a 32, 48 or 65 watt solar panel installed remotely on the roof. See Gable Fan Model

Summary of Installation

The outline below is a summary of the steps involved. Please read the provided instructions prior to beginning your installation and follow the steps carefully to ensure proper installation.

Installation step 1 mark, measure hole

Cut Hole on Roof

  • Choose sunny location on the roof – southern exposure is recommended
  • Measure and mark a 19” hole and cut hole using a reciprocating saw
  • Cut two slits on both sides of hole to allow unit to slide under shingles
Installation step 2, slide unit into place

Install Solar Attic Fan Unit

  • Remove any roofing nails or staples to allow unit to slide in place
  • Caulk underside of unit with sealant
  • Slide unit into place
Installation step 3, attach unit to roof

Attach Unit to Roof

  • Attach unit to roof using provided screws
  • Caulk around unit and over screws to ensure weather-tight installation
  • On adjustable models, position solar panel to the angle it will capture the most sunlight
