OUR HEAVY-DUTY SOLAR ATTIC FAN
Stands Up to Harsh Weather
The rugged construction of the Natural Light Solar Attic Fan easily withstands the harshest of weather conditions including hurricanes and tornadoes. The housing and flashing are manufactured using 1100 series, heavy-duty commercial pure grade aluminum to protect the fan unit. The high impact solar panel also stands up to the heat of the sun and the pounding of the rain and hailstorms. The round design of the attic fan also helps water and melting snow run off the unit. The flashing is secured to the roof using (8) heavy-gauge screws to hold it in place. The silicone seal around the flashing ensures that it’s watertight.

Survived Florida Tornado
Three tornadoes ripped through central Florida on February 2, 2007 killing at least 19 people and destroying hundreds of homes. The first tornado hit a retirement community, The Villages. It was a high end EF-3 tornado with winds exceeding 160 mph.
The tornado was no match for the Natural Light Solar Attic Fans. Several Natural Light units had been installed in this community and all withstood the severe weather and remained in working condition! The solar attic fan (pictured) took a direct hit from flying debris and was protected by the rugged commercial pure grade aluminum housing used on all Natural Light Solar Attic Fans.
NATURAL LIGHT SOLAR ATTIC FANS
Withstood A Severe Texas Hailstorm
On Friday, April 17, 2008, a powerful hailstorm hit the Palo Pinto and Parker Counties in Texas near Fort Worth. The storm packed winds of around 60 mph and pounded the area with hail, some chunks the size of softballs! The super cell peppered the area for nearly 30 minutes causing medium to severe damage to cars, broken tree limbs, downed power lines and roof damage.
The golf and softball sized hail chunks may have damaged cars and smashed windshields, but the Natural Light Solar Attic Fan survived in perfect working condition. The solar panel sustained no damage or scratches while the housing was only slightly dented. A roof turbine installed next to it did not fair as well. The high quality materials used in all of Natural Light products once again proves that our solar attic fans can take a pounding from Mother Nature and keep on working!
